Ok, for those of you new to this, here is what
the Rail E-Pass or Electronic Rail Pass is all about.
It all started back when real Railroads issued Rail Passes to Railroad
employees, dignitaries and other VIP's giving them free passage on
the Railroad, a sort of Public Relations thing. For years people have
been swapping these Railroad Passes & Passes for their own Model
Railroads (see the NMRA
Pass Exchange Program), then the Internet came along. One day
a bright spark (Jim
Thompson) had a thought ... how about exchanging these Passes
over the Internet. Suddenly a whole new concept was born ... and it
saved on postage and printing costs!
So, now you are thinking, 'Hey, that's a great idea! But how do I
create my own Rail E-Pass?'
Well, just follow the steps below and you will be on your way to creating
your very own Rail E-Pass to swap with other Model Railroaders, and
soon you will have a great collection of Rail E-Passes people have
sent you in return.
